Nourishing Futures Convening

On August 6, 2025, a special convening was held at Pacific Oaks College that brought together food policy makers, leaders from early childhood, advocates, and providers to:

• Understand the scope, scale, and contributing factors to food insecurity among families with children aged five and under, as well as home-based child care providers

• Highlight successful, culturally responsive strategies already in use

• Begin the process of developing policy and program strategies to ensure every young child has reliable access to nourishing meals
